On August 21, at approximately 10 a.m., the Barre City Police Department responded to several calls of a vehicle crashing into a house on Foss Street in Barre City.

Investigation revealed that Cindy Davis, of Plainfield, had been traveling northerly on Berlin Street and subsequently crossed the intersection of Rte. 62 prior to striking the sidewalk, going over an embankment and into the front porch of a house on Foss Street below Route 62. David was transported to the Central Vermont Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and was later transported to UVM Medical Center. No one in the residence was injured. Excessive speed and suspected alcohol influence are contributing factors in the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
