The Vermont Symphony Orchestra will play a Valentine’s Day Concert at Farmers’ Night in the House Chamber at the Vermont State House.

MONTPELIER – Farmers’ Night on Valentine’s Day will feature the Vermont Symphony Orchestra and Chorus on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m.

This Valentine’s Day concert features a chamber orchestra and the VSO Chorus for an evening of music by Mozart, Bach, Haydn, Faure and more. The concert will be conducted by José-Daniel Flores Caraballo, and includes the world premiere of a work composed by Montpelier High School student Callum Robechek.

The Farmers’ Night Concert Series is a longstanding State House tradition which goes back over 100 years to a time when lawmakers entertained themselves in the House Chamber mid-week while away from home. Artists from around the state, in genres ranging from classical music to bluegrass to barbershop, perform in the well of the House Chamber each Wednesday night during the legislative session—and the concerts are free and open to the public.
