Chainsaw Wielding Male Apprehended at NVRH

On March 4 at approximately 11:02 a.m., the State Police received a report of a trespassing complaint on New St. in the town of Albany. While investigating the incident, Troopers found a Charles Baker, of Albany, to be in violation of the regulations of the Sex Offender Registry. Baker was issued a criminal citation.

On March 30 at 8:14 a.m., the Vermont State Police was advised of a theft. The theft occurred on March 28 at approximately 3 p.m. Several Amazon packages were taken from the property. After further investigation and a review of home security footage, Dannika Dobrowski of Plainfield was charged with Petit Larceny. Dobrowski was cited to appear in Washington Superior Court on May 2 at 8:30 a.m.

On March 25 at 5:21 p.m., Troopers from the Vermont State Police – St. Johnsbury Barracks received reports of a male at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH) located at 1315 Hospital Drive, St. Johnsbury, destroying property, assaulting staff and wielding a chainsaw. Troopers arrived on scene within minute and located the male, later identified as Tyler Roy, of Hardwick, in the parking lot actively assaulting staff. Troopers confronted and subsequently apprehended Troy, taking him into custody. Troy remained at NVRH pending further medical evaluations before being cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Monday, May 6 at 8:30 a.m.

Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the St. Johnsbury Police Department, Caledonia County Sheriff’s Department, CALEX Ambulance Crew and NVRH staff.
