HARDWICK – At its meeting on Sunday, December 17, the board of Northeast Kingdom Public Journalism Inc., voted to accept the assets of the Hardwick Gazette and operate the newspaper as of January 1, 2024.
The transition plan calls for Hardwick Journalism Inc., the current owner of the Gazette, to wind down its operations after the transfer of assets. Northeast Kingdom Public Journalism is a registered Vermont Domestic Nonprofit Corporation.
Additional details of the Gazette’s transition to a nonprofit operation will appear in future editions.
