Save Our Planet!

To the editor:

Plastic bottles litter our roads, and rapidly fill up our one remaining landfill in Coventry. Instead of being recycled for further use, millions of them are also dumped out at sea, polluting our precious oceans.

With one easy action YOU can be an advocate for positive change: contact Caledonia Senator Jane Kitchell via email ([email protected]) or call 802-684-3482, or Orleans Senator Robert Star ([email protected]) 802-988-2877.

Tell them that you support passage of H. 158. It passed the Vermont House January 4, and will require a five-cent deposit on all plastic bottles, and a 15-cent deposit on wine bottles.

Protect our fragile, small planet, and recycle our limited resources!
