A workshop to learn how to make gentle soups, smoothies, and baby food will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the Hardwick Health Center. This workshop will be led by Katharine Arnold of the Buffalo Mountain Market and Heather Davis of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry. Blender raffle prize will be given to someone who attends.
This Grow Your Own workshop will explore taste profiles for foods that you can blend together to make suitable for everyone in the family, including babies. Making these foods from scratch can often be much less expensive than the prepared items from stores.
Babies and children of all ages are always welcome at Grow Your Own workshops. Grow Your Own is a project of the Hardwick Area Food Pantry and Center for an Agricultural Economy. The mission of Grow Your Own is to increase food independence, better health and well being through shared knowledge and experience. Workshops are always free (though donations are gratefully accepted.)
