Dana Robinson, of Cabot, will perform on February 10 at Sterling College.
CRAFTSBURY – Sterling College will present an evening with songwriter Dana Robinson, with special guests “What Four,” on Saturday, Feb. 10, at Dunbar Hall.
Based in Cabot, Robinson is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and songwriter who combines a singing style, with wry humor and observations about community and place.
For over 30 years, Robinson has been a fixture on the folk and acoustic music scene in the United States and Great Britain, playing his blend of contemporary songwriting with traditional influences. From performing at Carnegie Hall to providing music for Ken Burns’ documentaries, Robinson’s landscape-inspired lyrics connect the listener to the natural world.
From 1995 to 2015 Robinson logged over a million miles of touring across the United States and Great Britain, performing songs inspired by the American landscape, and continues to craft his blend of original songwriting and traditional music.
Robinson’s most recent recording, “The Town That Music Saved,” features songs written in and around his home town of Cabot that captures the essence of modern rural life. The album was named that year’s “Best Vermont Album” in 2019 by Montpelier’s Times-Argus newspaper.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7 p.m. For advance tickets, visit: cabotarts.org, for information call (802) 793-3016 or email [email protected]
