CALAIS – Dana Robinson, traditional musician, will perform at the Maple Corner Community Center on Friday, April 5, at 7 p.m.

Robinson is an award-winning songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, based in Cabot, who combines a singing style with humor and observations about community and place.

For over 30 years, Robinson has been a fixture on the folk and acoustic music scene in the United States and Great Britain, playing his blend of contemporary songwriting with traditional influences. From performing at Carnegie Hall to providing music for Ken Burns’ documentaries, his voice and landscape-inspired lyrics connect the listener to the natural world.

From 1995 to 2015, Robinson logged over a million miles of touring across the United States and Great Britain, performing songs inspired by the American landscape. His most recent recording, “The Town That Music Saved,” features songs inspired by life in Vermont and captures the essence of modern rural life. The album was named that year’s “Best Vermont Album” in 2019 by Montpelier’s Times-Argus newspaper.

The community center is located at 84 West County Road. Admission to the event is by donation, and doors open at 6:30 p.m. For advance tickets, visit robinsongs.com For information call (802) 793-3016 or email  [email protected]
