HARDWICK – The Galaxy Bookshop is celebrating Children’s Book Week, May 6 through May 12, by hosting a book drive for the Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF). The book drive will run through the end of Children’s Book Week. Brand new books donated during this time will be given to CLiF to bring to students in communities throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. The Galaxy Bookshop will do a book-to-book matching donation, giving one additional book to CLiF for every book donated by a customer.

In 2023, Hardwick Elementary School students benefited from CLiF programming, and every student was given the opportunity to choose at least one brand new book to take home. The Galaxy Bookshop is partnering with CLiF to support their continued efforts to enhance literacy education and bring books into children’s homes throughout the region. For the book drive, donors can choose books from the bookstore’s selection or can designate an amount of money to be used toward the purchase of books for readers from pre-school through grade eight.

The Galaxy Bookshop is located at 41 South Main Street in Hardwick. The Galaxy Bookshop can be found online at galaxybookshop.com.
