CRAFTSBURY COMMON – Members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, St. John de Crèvecoeur Chapter, cleaned headstones at the North Craftsbury Cemetery on Craftsbury Common on May 23.  Members of the North Craftsbury Cemetery Association and others learned how to clean headstones and worked for several hours cleaning stones.

In addition to cleaning headstones, Chapter St. John de Crèvecoeur helps support veterans at the veterans hospital and seniors in nursing homes.  They help restore headstones. They have given certificates to Viet Nam War Veterans. They also distribute free books to children.  The Saint John de Crevecoeur Chapter National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution serves the three Northeastern Counties of Vermont: Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans.
