To the editor:
I writing to ask you to vote for David Kelley for the House of Representatives.
I first got to work with David when he and his wife Kelley Robinson volunteered to help out at our first windowdressers build workshop my first year heading up the Greensboro Energy Committee. I had a hard time finding volunteers and I cold called David. He agreed to help and brought his wife Kelley too. I learned, if you need a helping hand, ask David and he’ll show up.
David has served on a lot of boards, including the Greensboro land trust where I was impressed with his quick mind and his ability to understand the laws and translate them so that the rest of the board members could understand their implications.
David has done a lot of fundraising for folks in need, including children in the Ukraine. I helped him do some advertising and he’s a pleasure to work with. He’s direct, and he follows through once a plan is made.
David has the skills to represent all of us at the state house. He’s a great listener. He’s empathetic. He can understand the complex educational and environmental issues we are currently facing. He has good working relationships with people in all levels of government. He has a lot of experience in helping others and getting things done. Please join me in voting for David Kelley in the Democratic primary this Tuesday, Aug. 13.
