The people of the NEK have an excellent choice in the Orleans-4 race for Vermont House this year: candidate David Kelley.
Dave is an attorney and a civic leader who has volunteered for our local communities for many years, as a Greensboro Select Board member, chair of the Hazen School Board, and currently, as Board Chairman of the Highland Center for the Arts.
He cares passionately about our wilderness environment, education, and the quality and affordability of life in the NEK. And in terms of understanding the law, bringing issues to the legislature, and negotiating skillfully with all the parties involved, he is the most experienced candidate in the race.
Now, at a time when Dave could enjoy a well-deserved retirement, he has opted to continue serving, and I am grateful that he is willing to bring his tremendous experience and knowledge of Vermont government to represent us, the people of Greensboro, Craftsbury, Glover, and Albany.
In my opinion, there is no one better qualified to write our laws than a person who has lived a life in the law, and no better friend and steward of our corner of the world.
