On August 13, at approximately 9:45 a.m., Hardwick Police arrested Chad Sevene, of Woodbury, in the parking lot of Tops Market in Hardwick. Sevene was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Washington County for vehicle theft and petit larceny. Sevene was transported to the Hardwick Police Department for processing and then to Washington County Court.
On August 15, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Hardwick Police arrested Todd Luce, of Hardwick, in the parking lot of the Yellow Barn in Hardwick. Luce was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Caledonia County for disturbing the peace by telephone. Luce was transported to the Hardwick Police Department for processing. At the request of the court, Luce was released on a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division on August 19.
On August 12 the Hardwick Police Department responded to a disturbance call on Brook St. Investigation revealed that Ty Allen Metevier had operated a motor vehicle on a public highway while under the influence of alcohol. Metevier was arrested and charged with DUI and was issued a citation to appear in court on August 26 to be arraigned in Caledonia Superior Court, Criminal Division, on this charge.
On August 17 at approximately 11 a.m., Hardwick Police arrested Jordan Powers, of Eden, in the Kwik Stop parking lot in Hardwick. Powers was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Lamoille County for Possession of Cocaine. Per the order of the court, Powers was released on a citation to appear in Lamoille Superior Court, Criminal Division on August 19.
On August 17, at approximately 2 p.m., Hardwick Police arrested Casandra Rich, of Hardwick, in the Dollar General parking lot in Hardwick. Rich was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant out of Caledonia County for failure to appear. Rich was transported to the Hardwick Police Department for processing and then lodged at the Northeastern Correctional Complex in St. Johnsbury.
Hardwick Police responded to Vt. Rte. 16 in East Hardwick for a report of a car vs. bear. Frank Bolio, of East Hardwick was traveling north on Vt. Rte. 16 in his Mitsubishi Outlander when a bear crossed the road in front of him. Bolio struck the bear causing significant front end damage. There was no reported injury, and the vehicle was towed.
