Author M.T. Anderson Reading at Bookshop, September 10

HARDWICK – The Galaxy Bookshop will host locally-based author M.T. (Tobin) Anderson for a reading and book signing on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m.

Anderson, whose books for young adults have won awards and been included in “best books” lists, published his first novel specifically aimed at adult readers, “Nicked.” The book is based on a true quest to steal the corpse of a long-dead saint.

M. T. Anderson has written a wide variety of titles, including works of fantasy and satire for a range of ages. He is the author of a number of books including “The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation, Volume 1,” “The Pox Party,” which won the National Book Award and a Printz Honor; and “Feed,” which was a finalist for the National Book Award and the Boston Globe/Horn Book Award and won the L.A. Times Book Award for YA fiction in 2003.

In Hardwick, Anderson was The Front Porch Forum Town Crier in several Civic Standard Theater productions, as well as contributing to those projects as a writer.
