WALDEN – The fire department will have its annual open house and fire safety day, Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Walden Firehouse. Everyone is welcome to check the department’s fire apparatus, including the new UTV for off-road and trail rescues. One of the ambulance services that responds to Walden, Hardwick Emergency Rescue Squad will be on site with their volunteers to offer a tour of the ambulance. Firefighters will be available to discuss their job.
Light refreshments will be offered, and a bouncy house will be available for children. There will be a 50/50 cash raffle drawing at 1 p.m. Raffle tickets will be available for sale at the event.
The winner does not need to be present.
