Share article

HARDWICK – Fifty residents joined Hardwick Neighbor to Neighbor (NtN) at a forum Monday, Sept. 16, where the town shared an overview of past, present and future flood recovery, mitigation and resilience efforts.

Team Rubicon, the Hardwick Rescue Squad and Police Chief Michael Henry offered updates about the roles their organizations have played and what they have learned that will help to address community needs in future emergencies.

NtN’s Helen Beattie laid out a structure being worked on with staff from the Vermont Council on Rural Development, Hardwick’s administration and local emergency management planning to build resilient systems that go beyond what’s traditionally been in place throughout Vermont.
