To the editor:
I’m writing to enthusiastically support Sabrina Butterick Morrison as Hardwick, Walden, and Stannard’s next representative to the Vermont House of Representatives.
For one thing, Sabrina is from here. She grew up in Hardwick, daughter of Claire and Charlie Butterick, and now lives in her childhood Hardwick home with her husband and children. She understands the challenges that people in this district face paying property taxes, health insurance and housing costs because she faces them herself.
But more important, Sabrina likes people, and she listens and learns from others. She doesn’t accept superficial explanations for why things are the way they are but digs deeper to understand. That’s what we need in Montpelier as Vermonters and the state face new challenges every year with climate change, education, housing, and health care.
Sabrina is community minded, practical, and experienced. She serves on local school boards, operates a small business, and has kids in public school. She is a great choice for our state representative.
I hope you will join me in voting for Sabrina for the Vermont House on November 5.
