Warrant for Arrest, Window Shot

Hardwick Police received a report of a male that was knocking on a door of a residence on Depot St. The owner only knew the male from postings on Facebook and identified the male as Scott Moffatt, of Hardwick. The officer responded to the area and met with the complainant. The complainant advised that the person left on a bike wearing a leather jacket. The officer saw an individual in the distance on the rail trail heading east. The officer went out Rte. 15 and accessed the trail in the S curves and found Moffatt. Dispatch advised that there was a warrant for Moffatt’s arrest out of Franklin County. Moffatt was taken into custody without incident and lodged at Northeast Regional Correction Facility.

Sometime between 7 p.m. on October 15 and 7 a.m. on October 16, a large front window at O’Reilly Auto Parts Store at 124 Main St., Hardwick, had been shot by what is possibly a BB gun or pellet gun, damaging the glass. This crime is a felony due to the damage amount. Anyone having any information is urged to contact the police department.

The Hardwick Police Report is based on information provided by the police and is not a comprehensive list of police activity. Individuals named in the police report are presumed to be innocent until they plead or are found guilty in court.
