Traditional Irish Music, March 19

Share article

MONTPELIER – On Wednesday, March 19, at 7:30 p.m., the 2025 Farmers Night series presents traditional Irish music with One More Time, in the House Chamber, Vermont State House. This Central Vermont-based band brings the spirit of Ireland to the stage with jigs, ballads and reels. Band members include Denise Dean, Katrina VanTyne and Harold Kaplan on fiddle, Joe Cribari on guitar, John Murray on banjo and Dan Casey on button accordion. The band emerged from Vermont’s Irish session scene, where their friendships were formed over years of playing together.

The Farmers Night Concert Series is a longstanding State House tradition which goes back over 100 years to a time when lawmakers entertained themselves in the House Chamber mid-week while away from home. Concerts are free and open to the public.
