GLOVER— The Bread & Puppet Theater will commence another tour, presenting its latest show: “The Obligation to Live.” The company’s month-long tour begins with four shows in Vermont, beginning Thursday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in Greensboro at The Highland Center.
The tour continues Friday, March 28, at 6:30 p.m. in Barre at The Old Labor Hall, then Saturday, March 29, at 7 p.m. in Burlington at the Arts Riot on March 29, and Thursday, April 3, 7:30 p.m. at Bennington College. Bennington College students are asked to bring their campus ID to the show, as 200 tickets will be held for students.
As with all Bread & Puppet shows, the evening will feature puppets large and small, music and politics. After every show Bread & Puppet serves its sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art,” books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press, will be for sale.
After Vermont, the tour continues southward, to cities including Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. For more information, see BreadAndPuppet.org/Tour.
