Folk Musician Performs April 24

CABOT β€” David Wilcox, a folk musician and storyteller will will perform on April 24 at the Willey Building, beginning at 7 p.m.

The Ohio native found his artistic muse in North Carolina during the mid-1980s. In 1987, he released his debut album, β€œThe Nightshift Watchman,” which led to winning the Kerrville Folk Festival in 1988. That translated to a four-album stint with A&M Records. Thirty-plus years and 20-plus albums later, Wilcox won honors in the 23rd annual USA Songwriting Competition in 2018 for his effervescent β€œWe Make the Way by Walking” from his last album release, β€œThe View From the Edge.”
