Kick Out the Clowns

Share article

To the editor:

Join your neighbors in Hardwick on Saturday, June 14, at 11 a.m., at 101 S. Main St. (Front Seat Coffee) to protest the illegal suspension of due process, the destruction of our social safety net to provide a tax cut for the billionaires, and the Congressional Republicans who have abandoned their sworn duty to uphold the Constitution in order to avoid the wrath of their king [sic] Trump. The clown circus must stop.

The Hardwick event is part of a nationwide day of action at over 660 localities (and counting) across the U.S. in part, also, to protest the reckless spending by Trump on a military parade on his birthday that will cost U.S. taxpayers $45 million. That unnecessary expenditure to boost Trump’s ego is an outrage when, at the same time, House G.O.P. legislators are advancing legislation to cut $300 billion from SNAP benefits!

Make your voice heard by making a large, readable sign and show up on June 14, and join the Indivisible Team and the Women’s March in stopping the authoritarian power grab.
