On May 16, at 4:25 p.m., the Hardwick Fire Department was toned to 1948 Vt. Rte. 14 in Hardwick for a tree that had taken down the power lines and had started a small grass fire. Engine 2 and Tanker 1 responded. The road was down to one lane for around an hour and half while repairs were completed.
