On May 18, at 8:15 a.m., the Greensboro Fire Department was requested to assist Hardwick Fire Department with a one car accident on E. Church Street, East Hardwick. They experienced two calls at the same time and requested Greensboro for assistance with the second call. The vehicle struck a tree and had severe front end damage. A winch line from the Hardwick’s rescue truck was used to stabilize the vehicle while crews worked to extricate the driver. The driver was stabilized on scene and transported to the hospital by Hardwick Emergency Rescue Squad. Crews were back in station at 9:20 a.m.
