On July 7, at 12:49 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Rte. 2 in a work zone. Investigation into the crash determined Shirley Maynard, of Cabot, did not see traffic was stopped and ran into the back of Jonathan Bullard, of St. Johnsbury. Maynard complained of chest pain after the crash and was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Bullard sustained minor injuries and was cleared by EMS. Maynard’s vehicle was towed by Mountain View Auto. Vermont State Police were assisted by Vermont Fish and Game and Danville Fire Department and Rescue.
On July 5, at approximately 10:35 a.m., the State Police received a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Creek Road in the town of Craftsbury. The State Police responded to the scene and learned that Raymond Stevens-Reil, of Craftsbury, had committed multiple crimes, some being Aggravated Domestic Assault and Burglary. Stevens-Reil was located by the State Police and the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office and was subsequently arrested and transported to the Derby Barracks.
