GREENSBORO – Hardwick Electric Department (HED) customers qualify for rebates and incentives offered by the Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA) and Efficiency Vermont that can help residents save money.
On behalf of member utilities, VPPSA administers a rebate and incentive program for customers, including incentives for income-qualifying customers. Examples include: up to $2,500 off new electric forklifts or stock chasers; $1,500 off commercial ride-on electric lawnmowers; savings on new purchases of e-bikes, electric scooter and motorcycles; rebates on new residential electric lawn and garden equipment; new and pre-owned electric and hybrid vehicle incentives partnering with local dealerships, home weatherization and heat pump rebates.
HED also offers rebates administered by Efficiency Vermont, addressing home energy efficiency, including appliance rebates, home heating solutions and ventilation. Income qualifying renters, property owners and homeowners can benefit from low-to-no-cost products and free or low cost weatherization services.
VPPSA was established by the Vermont General Assembly on July 1, 1979. VPPSA’s membership includes several municipal electric utilities including HED, to which it provides energy services programs to help customers transition away from fossil fuels.
