GREENSBORO − The Greensboro Fire Department was dispatched to a one-car motor vehicle accident on Route 16 in the area of Horse Pond, at 6:59 on Sunday, July 20. Crews arrived and located the vehicle off the roadway in heavy brush. Crews used chainsaws to access the vehicle. Once the brush was cut, the door was able to be opened and the patient was transported to the awaiting ambulance. Hardwick Emergency Rescue Squad transported the patient to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Caledonia Wrecker Service was called to remove the vehicle from the roadside. Crews were back in service by 8:30 a.m.
