The Kids Division got Midseason Championships underway Saturday with Kiptyn Aldrich and Maddi Potter leading the class to green. Potter quickly took off with the race lead as Gracen Gorham, Owen Dupuis and Lucas Sidney began their climb from the back of the pack. Gorham was quickest to find open air, motoring into the lead by the halfway point and kept his foot to the firewall to beat out Lucas Sidney to the line with Dupuis rounding out the top three.
Polesitter Mike Clark went sour just six laps into the Flying Tiger feature as Logan Powers walked away with the lead under the green flag. Clark’s slow-down was the one and only caution in the 35-lap sprint as Logan Powers took down his first win of the season at White Mountain as a hot and heavy battle between Tyler Pepin and Shane Sicard kept things interesting in the podium fight. Pepin would hold onto second with point leader Sicard taking third.

The dominant king of the Mini Late Models, Berlin’s Nick Miller, took down segment one with Garrett Labounty and Dustin Jackson hot on his tail before the inversion for segment two. Part-timer Jacob Rheaume took off with the lead in the second twenty-lap segment but mechanical woes took him out at lap-14 with Brett Jackson taking over the point. Brett Jackson would take the second segment win but Miller motored to second and took the overall win over Labounty and Dustin Jackson.
In identical, twin 20-lap fashion, the Dwarf Cars saw Dave Gyger take the first segment checkers over Jason Wyman and Dennis O’Brien. The second segment was slowed only by a lap two dust-up between a spinning Daniel Brofman into Mitchell O’Brien along the front stretch. Back under green, Chad Dufour launched away with the lead to take down the win in segment two but it was Dave Gyger in second place who took down the overall with Dennis O’Brien taking his first White Mountain podium in second overall and Jason Wyman taking third.
Jason Goodbout set off like a rocket to lead the Strictly Mini feature, leaving Jason Ball and Rookie Logan Farnsworth to fight for second. The fight for second was quickly taken over by the championship hopefuls with Jacob Roy sneaking past followed by Tyler Thompson and Donnie Baumgardner by the halfway point. The caution-free, green to checkers race took just six and a half minutes to complete with J.J. Goodbout taking the win over Roy and Thompson at the line.
The Late Models rounded out the annual Midseason Championships program with the father-son duo of Tyler and Stacy Cahoon bringing the field to green. Stacy, the elder, powered to the lead as Tyler gave way to Jaden Perry for second. The fight for third saw Tyler fending off Kyle Goodbout and Quinny Welch before a spin in turn one had Brian Whalley pile in and end both of their nights on lap thirty.
Stacy Cahoon continued to lead the pack with Perry and Welch on his tail as Mike Jurkowski and Brandon Gray entered the top-five picture. Kyle Goodbout’s infield spin on lap 39 re-racked the field once more setting up an eleven lap dash between Gray and Cahoon at the point. Coming to the checkered flag, contact between Gray down low and Cahoon up high sent Cahoon spinning and sideways across the line in second behind Gray. Race Control docked Gray, running as a sub driver for Kasey Beattie, one position for the contact that sent Cahoon in a tail spin to finish second with Welch rounding out the top three.
White Mountain Motorsports Park opens for its second doubleheader weekend Saturday, July 26 and 27. The Late Models headline Saturday’s showcase with the New Hampshire Governor’s Cup 100 plus Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis, Mini Late Models and Dwarf Cars with a 6 p.m. post time. The Pro All Stars Series Super Late Models return on Sunday, July 27, for the rain-postponed PASS Spectacular along with the New England Supermodified Series and PASS Mods.
