The Craftsbury Outdoor Center (COC) will host its’ two day marathon series on January 31 and February 1. The first day will be the 46 and 23 km classic race followed by a 23 km freestyle race on Sunday. There will be four road crossings along Creek Road and Lost Nation Road. The following weekend (Feb. 6-8) the Outdoor Center will play host to the UVM college carnival and the New England Nordic Ski Associations Eastern Cup series. Sprint races will take place on a 1.6 km course on Friday and Sunday, while on Saturday, the racers will ski around the 5 km race course for multiple laps. This weekend provides better spectating of some the Northeast’s finest skiers. For those who just want to ski and avoid the crowds, the COC encourages people to use the Craftsbury School parking lot on the weekend and Highland Lodge to ski the Greensboro trail network.
