MARSHFIELD – The Twinfield-Cabot girls basketball team fell to Blue Mountain and Vergennes last week, dropping to 0-12 on the season.

Ava Kingsbury led all scorers with 13 points to lead Blue Mountain to a hard-fought 30-21 road win over the Lady Trojans last Wednesday. Kingsbury added nine boards to fill up her impressive stat line, Kobie Moulton chipped in with 6 points and Bryn Nelson and Heidi Wohleb combined for 10 rebounds in the win. Senior Teagan Trader had her best game of the season, scoring a team-high nine points for Twinfield-Cabot. The Lady Bucks have won 3 of their last 4 games, evening their record at 5-5.

Division III power Vergennes flexed its muscles on Friday, racing past the Lady Trojans on the road 80-32. It was the Lady Commodores’ eighth win in their last 10 games, moving them up to sixth in the current Division III rankings.

Twinfield-Cabot will wrap up their season series against BFA-Fairfax on Wednesday night at home and are scheduled to host Winooski next Monday.
