The Hardwick Gazette Needs Your Financial Support

Dear Friend of The Hardwick Gazette,

We need your help this holiday season.

When you’re thinking of gifts today, on Cyber Monday, consider making a donation to The Gazette in your name, or as a gift for someone who lives in, or visits the area and depends on us for their local news and events coverage.

The Gazette is Committed to Reporting News that Matters

We’re in our 135th year, but our first as a community-owned nonprofit organization. Our commitment remains the same: reporting the news that matters to you and your neighbors.

It’s been an eventful year and The Gazette has been there every step of the way, at Town Meeting Day in March, a fatal shooting in April, the catastrophic flooding of July and recovery efforts, the November elections and much more. Our reporters have brought you coverage of select board and other public meetings. We have provided full coverage of high school sports, a calendar of events, reviews of the performing arts and respected writers like Willem Lange and Henry Homeyer. Our Opinion pages have been a forum for voices and ideas relevant to community life.

Support The Gazette

On Giving Tuesday, please step forward and ensure that The Gazette will continue as a valued resource for our 11 towns.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of Giving Tuesday. Achieving that goal will allow us to move forward on solid financial footing and make plans for an even better Gazette in the future.

Donations of any amount are welcome. Setting up a monthly contribution of $5 or more provides us with a firm foundation. If you’re able to make a major gift of $500, $1,000 or more, you’ll be ensuring The Gazette is available to all.

One-time or recurring donations can be given at https://hardwickgazette.org/donate/ or by mail to P.O. Box 9, Hardwick, VT 05843.

if you’ve already made a donation, thank you.

We’ve heard from over 25 people, but need to hear from 200 of you to reach our goal. Your free annual subscription costs us about $65 to produce. Consider covering that cost, and adding a bit more if you are able, to help others less fortunate be part of our community of readers.

Thank you from the Board of Northeast Kingdom Public Journalism, The Hardwick Gazette staff, our volunteers and our contributors.

The Hardwick Gazette is now a community-owned, non-profit publication of Northeast Kingdom Public Journalism. We depend on your donation to support our mission of producing fair and accurate local journalism, shining a light on all aspects of our communities and creating a forum for deeper engagement.
