NEK Chamber Appoints Tester as Executive Director

ST. JOHNSBURY — The Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce has announced the appointment of Loralee Tester as the new executive director.

With a background in education and a connection to the Northeast Kingdom, Tester brings experience for community development to her new role.

Having resided in the Northeast Kingdom for four decades, her tenure as an educator for nearly 20 years and her current role as president of the Lyndon Institute Board of Trustees demonstrates Tester’s dedication to fostering growth and opportunity within the community.

Tester holds a master’s degree from the Vermont State College system and is a member of the Vermont Business Roundtable. As a participant in the NEK Collaborative-sponsored Community Builders program, she has demonstrated her commitment to understanding and addressing the region’s issues.

“Loralee’s wealth of experience, leadership qualities, and deep ties to the Northeast Kingdom make her the ideal candidate to lead the Chamber of Commerce,” said Wes Ward, chair of the NEK Chamber of Commerce. “We are confident that under her guidance, the Chamber will continue to thrive and play a pivotal role in promoting economic development and community prosperity.”

Loralee Tester resides in East Lyndon with her husband and two sons. The Northeast Kingdom Chamber of Commerce consists of businesses, professional firms and individuals from Northeastern Vermont.
