Driving Erratically
On April 11 Berlin Officers were on US Route 302 when they observed a vehicle driving in an erratic manner and stopping suddenly in traffic forcing cars to go around them.
Upon speaking with the operator of the vehicle, he was identified as Brook Stotesbury of Hardwick. Stotesbury advised that there were people in his vehicle with guns and the vehicle was stolen.
A Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) was contacted and screened Stotesbury for impairment.
Stotesbury was processed and cited to appear in the State of Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division in Washington Country on May 23, at 8:30 a.m.
Stotesbury was also cited to appear in the State of Vermont Superior Court Caledonia County for the Vermont State Police in late May to answer to the charge of Grand Larceny.
The Berlin Police Report is based on information provided by the police and is not a comprehensive list of police activity. Individuals named in the report are presumed to be innocent until they plead or are found guilty in court.
