Single-Vehicle Crashes

On April 18, at 8:31 a.m., the Vermont State Police, Craftsbury Fire and Hardwick EMS, responded to Vt. Rte. 14 near the N. Craftsbury Road for a report of a single vehicle crash. Through investigation it was revealed Sara Bonillacextary, of Orleans, was traveling south on Vt. Rte. 14 when she became distracted and went off the roadway. Bonillacextary was the sole occupant in the vehicle and was transported to North Country Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

On April 20, at 11:44 a.m., VSP Berlin responded to a single vehicle crash on US Rte. 2 near Nasmith Brook Road I Plainfield. Investigation at the scene revealed that the vehicle was traveling west on Rte. 2 prior to drifting off the westbound side of the roadway onto the lawn of a residence. The vehicle then swerved back onto Rte. 2 across the whole roadway and went off the road at the eastbound side of Rte. 2. The vehicle came to its final resting position approximately 50 feet into a field of another residence. The operator, Nicholas Barcomb, of Montpelier, was taken into custody for suspicion of impairment and was processed at the Berlin Barracks.
