
A cast of 24 children from kindergarten to sixth grade in the Mountain View Union Elementary School District presented “Boots- The Musical” at the Highland Center for the Arts on April 20. Lakeview, Hardwick, Woodbury Elementary School students and home schoolers presented “Boots- The Musical” at the Highland Center for the Arts, April 20. The cast included Enid Hammond, Tobin Purdy, Fern Hammond, Silene LaPoint, Solace Cohen, Reece Reynolds, Reia Lemery, Nevina Felix, Fox Modry, Scarlet Chernovetz, Sophia Rich and Otto McLean as the Ogre’s workers who sing “The Ogre Song.” The musical was directed by Rosann Hickey with musical arrangement by Karen Miller.
Vanessa Fournier graduated from Hazen Union School in 1973 and went to work taking photos in Bennington, then returned to Hardwick to work for Vin Zecchinelli of Farland Studio for several years. She started her own photo business in 1979. She's been in photography for over 50 years, working for The Hardwick Gazette for 44 years. She retired in 2023 and is still taking pictures for The Gazette because she still loves what she does.
