GREENSBORO – The 13th annual Caspian Challenge and 5K road race will be held on Sunday, July 28, at 8:30 a.m., at the ballfield in Greensboro (corner of Lake Shore Road and Breezy Avenue). The race consists of the classic 6.7 mile loop around Caspian Lake as well as a flat, out-and-back 5K race-walk. A laser-etched collectible glass will be awarded to winners in each age category. The race, sponsored by the Greensboro Association, is a fundraiser for the Caspian Lake adult swim program. Register at greensboroassociation.org ($15) or on race day ($20) starting at 7:15 a.m.
