MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Historical Society (MHS) and the Jaquith Public Library will commemorate Veterans Day with “A Vermonter in WWI,” a presentation by MHS member Maurice Cerutti recalling World War I with first-hand accounts from his family archives.

He will display his grandfather’s uniform which had seen service in France, share photos and read selections of articles describing wartime action and consequent impacts on our region’s small towns.

Cerutti will invite audience members to share their own family stories of WWI and learn together about the too-often neglected world war.

The program is Friday, Nov. 8, at 5:30 p.m., in the Hap Hayward History Center on the second floor of the Jaquith Library. It is free and open to the public. Call (802) 454-1689 for more information.
