MORRISVILLE — On February 25, 5 to 8 p.m., at the UVM Extension office in Morrisville, grade K to 12 teachers and science educators interested in exploring ways to connect their students with science and nature may sign up for a free Project WILD workshop and training. Project WILD is a national environmental education program is designed to help students learn about their local wildlife and the environment through awareness, knowledge, skills, responsible behavior, informed decision-making and constructive actions. Training will involve indoor and outdoor hands-on curriculum activities, so participants are advised to dress appropriately. In addition to school teachers, 4-H leaders, homeschooling parents, librarians, camp counselors and others who offer environmental education programs for Vermont youths are eligible to attend.

The registration deadline is February 14, although anyone requiring language interpretation, translation assistance and/or a disability-related accommodation to participate is asked to contact her by February 4.
