HARDWICK – A town hall for Northeast Kingdom community members about the future of public education in the region is scheduled, Thursday, March 27, 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., hybrid at Hazen Union School or online. The meeting will present information about the Scott-Saunders education proposal, ask questions, and share feedback; explore an alternative education funding proposal from the Public Assets Institute and discuss how an equitable and sustainable future can be created for area schools.
Invited Legislators include Rep. Leanne Harple, Orleans; Rep. Beth Quimby, Caledonia; Rep. Mark Higley, Orl-Lam and Rep. Marty Feltus, Caledonia.
The event has been organized by Vermont School Workers United, Northeast Kingdom Organizing and the Rural Schools Community Alliance.
