Swamped Boat in Caspian Lake

A boat’s owner and her friends pump water out of the swamped boat in Caspian Lake Monday, with help from Hardwick’s David Upson and Greensboro’s John Schweizer, while paddleboarders and a kayaker pass by.

On Monday, Hardwick’s David Upson and Greensboro’s John Schweizer work to raise a swamped boat moored on one of the anchors usually used for buoys marking the Caspian Lake beach swim area, which were recently removed for the season. Though water offshore from the beach is low, the boat was still floating.
