HARDWICK — Well over 200 people showed up to vote on town meeting day in Hardwick.
The town budget passed on a paper ballot with 167 voting yes and 72 voting no that took over 90 minutes for the voting and counting.

In unofficial results of Australian ballot votes for Hardwick Select Board seats, unopposed Ceilidh-Kane will retain her seat for a three-year term.
Larry Fliegelman and Derek Richardson each earned a one-year select board term, tying at 198 votes each, with Town Clerk Tonia Chase saying she counted several times because the result seemed so unlikely. Miranda (Davison) Brown had 194 votes, Joe Nudell 185, Andrew Gilbert 100, Tyle LeBeau 33 and Bruce Larrow 9.
Margaret Ranny Bledsoe and Terri Vest were elected to three-year terms as directors of Hazen Union School District #26.

The Hazen Union School District budget passed on a vote of 396 to 352, with the vote to transfer year-end fund balances passing 556 to 191.
