BOSCAWEN, N.H. – Alice Jeannette (Davis) Nelson, 88, formerly of Lyndonville, Vt., passed away on Friday, March 13, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen with her loving daughter at her side. Alice was born on August 10, 1937, in Lyndonville, Vt., to Percy and Violet (Smith) Davis. Alice was the oldest of seven children. Alice was raised and educated in Hardwick-Montpelier area and graduated from Montpelier High School, class of 1956. Alice worked as a custodian at Vermont College in Montpelier, Vt., until she moved to Pasadena, Calif. There she continued to work as a custodian at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, Calif., until she retired in 1998. Upon retirement, Alice moved back to Vermont to be closer to family. While in California, Alice found an interest in square dancing and continued to square dance with the Country Corners Square Dance Club of Lyndonville, Vt..
