Stuart Paton, co-founder and teacher of Burlington Taiko since its opening in 1986, leads Lakeview student drummers (from left) Scarlet Chernovetz, Solace Cohen and Christopher Rich during a concert held for family and friends Friday. Paton was an artist in residence at Lakeview for five days teaching K-6 graders Taiko drumming, a folk dance and to kindergartners, a song. The residency was sponsored by Hill Farmstead Brewery, Highland Lodge and a grant from the Vermont Arts Council.
