GREENSBORO – Four Vermont mystery authors will give a presentation at Fellowship Hall at the United Church of Christ on Wednesday, July 31, at 5 p.m., to talk about how their day jobs and research influence their writing.  The panel presentation, called “Using What You Know (and What You’d Like to Know) to Write a Mystery,” is coordinated by Sisters in Crime, an organization of mystery authors, and sponsored by Greensboro Free Library. Vermont authors Hank Parker, Kara Lacey and DonnaRae Menard will discuss how they draw on their different backgrounds and areas of expertise to write compelling mysteries. Author Trish Esden will moderate the discussion. A book signing and sale will follow. The program is free and open to everyone.

The library will host author Trish Esden on Thursday, Aug. 8, 5 p.m., for a reading and discussion of her antiques-themed mystery, “The Art of the Decoy.”  Copies of the book are available for loan at the library.  For more information, contact the library at (802) 533-2531 or [email protected]
