Judge Tatel to Give Book Talk Aug. 4

EAST CRAFTSBURY — Author and recently-retired Federal Judge David S. Tatel and Linda Ramsdell, founder of the Galaxy Bookshop, will host a discussion about Tatel’s book, “Vision: A Memoir of Blindness and Justice” on Sunday, August 4, 6 p.m., at the East Craftsbury Presbyterian (Brown) Church.

This is an opportunity to hear directly from the author and participate in a Q&A session about topics ranging from a lived experience of American civil rights law, the function of the judicial branch to protect rights such as equal justice, voting equality, environmental protection, and foundational democracy, the Supreme Court, and coming to terms with a visual disability. This event is free. The church is ADA accessible. Books will be available for purchase at the event provided by the Galaxy Bookshop. Refreshments to follow.
