Paulette Brochu-Colburn receives flowers, gifts and a bench at AWARE 40th Anniversary Celebration, August 10

Paulette Brochu-Colburn (seated) was given flowers, gifts and presented with a bench during the AWARE 40th Anniversary Celebration August 10 at Atkins Field. Brochu-Colburn is one of the original founders of the organization and has been a volunteer for AWARE for the past 40 years. The bench will be placed in the Peace Park where AWARE holds their vigil every year. In the back row are (from left) Abrah Griggs, AWARE social change advocate and outreach; Linda Fox, an early advocate; Ashley Gravel, co-executive director and youth advocate; Miranda Elkins, co-executive director/support specialist; and Anna Pirie, financial and grants coordinator. Pirie was the AWARE executive director for 24 years and has been with the organization for 29 years.
