HARDWICK — A candlelight vigil to remember survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence will be held in Hardwick’s Peace Park (between The Civic Standard and Mike’s Service Center), Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. Candles will be provided.

It will be an evening of remembering survivors and victims of domestic and sexual violence, represented by AWARE’s Silent Witnesses; life-sized figures bearing the name and story of victims whose life ended violently.

There will be readings of their stories and timely poems, and an opportunity for sharing.

AWARE will be posting the stories of those being remembered on its Facebook and Instagram pages during the week of the vigil for those who are curious but unable to attend.

Call AWARE at (802) 472-6463 for more information or email Ashley at [email protected]
