PEACHAM – The Caledonia County Natural Resources Conservation District (CCNRCD) is collecting input from Caledonia County residents on agriculture and natural resource priorities through an online survey and a free dinner and community feedback forum on Thursday, Nov, 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Peacham Community Meeting House, 56 Church St.
The online survey and a link to RSVP for the dinner can be found at CCNRCD’s website – caledoniadistrict.org/locally-led.
The purpose of the survey and the meeting is to solicit input from area agricultural producers, forest landowners, micro-gardeners, and all conservation-minded Caledonia County residents about the future of working lands by identifying local natural resource priorities. The feedback gathered by CCNRCD will inform a county-focused Conservation Action Plan and can result in Federal funding directed specifically to the natural resource priorities identified by Caledonia County residents through a special funding pool within the USDA NRCS-EQIP Program (Natural Resources Conservation Service Environmental Quality Incentives Program).
RSVP for the November 7 meeting and dinner by emailing [email protected] or providing an RSVP in the online survey.
