IRASBURG — The Orleans County Natural Resources Conservation District will host two free community feedback forums with meals, Monday, Feb. 10, with lunch,11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or with dinner, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Irasburg Town Hall. Each meeting will have the same agenda to cater to a range of schedules and time constraints.
The purpose of the meetings is to solicit input from area agricultural producers, forest landowners, loggers, consultants and all conservation-minded residents about the future of working lands by identifying local priorities for Federal funding. These public meetings, in combination with responses to a survey, will result in a regionally-focused conservation action plan and directly inform the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Local Working Group Process for Orleans County. There will be a brief presentations on the status of water quality, forest and farming in Orleans County. Free childcare will be provided and Orleans County farm-produced door prizes awarded.
