Vernal pools are small pockets of forest that flood from spring snowmelt and dry during midsummer. These seasonal wetlands are highly diverse providing predator-free nurseries to breeding amphibians and sources of food and water to the surrounding ecosystem. The Zoom session will provide information on what makes vernal pools special, the creatures found within and how to take part to protect these special places.
